WHAT IS THIS WEBSITE ABOUT?  Some of this is a personal website containing REBUTTAL, REPLY, and COMMENT to (primarily) public statements and accusations made by various self proclaimed "internet dog training experts".  The majority of the statements and accusations are FALSE, and refer to me, personally.  The nucleus of this website is based on verbatim quotes of public messages, most of which are archived with their respective lists.  Unless noted, nothing has been altered, other than formatting line length to screen width and changing the font style.  Other parts of this site contain OPINIONS, HUMOR, PARODY, COMEDY, and SARCASM which reflect my own personal sense of humor and viewpoints.  The First Amendment of the Constitution adequately, particularly, and specifically provides these rights.  This site is for educational and entertainment purposes.  This is emphatically not a "hate" site.  There is no hate, and never was.  Profanity is kept to a minimum, but it does exist.  If this website seems offensive to you, in any way, please leave now.  Please do not subject yourself to being offended.

TO THOSE IN FEAR OF THIS WEBSITE:  Websites can be terrifying places.  If you're afraid, we'll never understand why, but what can WE do?  You're allowed to be frightened of webpages, or anything else.  This website contains NO THREATS of any nature - no direct, indirect, implied, supplied, or personified threats - it never did and never will.  There is a lot of SARCASM here.  If you're afraid, our heart goes out to you - we don't WANT you to be afraid.  We want you to get help.  Dial 911, and scream for help.  If you wind up in a straight jacket, that's your problem.  If you don't, that's your problem, too.

COPYRIGHT © is clearly acknowledged where, when, and if applicable.  It's even acknowledged where it's not applicableThe USCO website.  This link contains verbatim United States Copyright Law, which clearly allows for rebuttal, comment, criticism, etc.  United States Copyright Law specifically states "COPYRIGHT DOES NOT APPLY TO FACTUAL INFORMATION".  (Read the law - see for yourself.)  Rebutting falsified "factual information" is not a violation of copyright law.

My name is Steve Leigh, and I am the creator and owner of this website.

Copyright law can be a complex and confusing subject in many ways.  In other ways, I believe the laws are quite clear and obvious.

I have no desire to violate any laws, and that includes copyright laws.  I have made a sincere effort to research, learn, and understand the laws which pertain to copyrighted material, and the laws which pertain to me, as an individual.

I have researched and called the United States Copyright Office, Washington, DC, as well as consulting attorneys, the FBI, and have also spoken with legal specialists from two webhosting companies.

I researched THIS LINK, THIS LINK (Section 107), THIS LINK, and many others, at the United States Copyright Office website.

Research has clearly shown that I am in compliance with the copyright laws of the United States.  The following excerpts were copied directly from the United States Copyright Office website.  The United States Copyright Office provides the most recent, complete copyright law for the public to download.

One of the rights accorded to the owner of copyright is the right to reproduce or to authorize others to reproduce the work in copies or phonorecords. This right is subject to certain limitations found in sections 107 through 118 of the copyright law (title 17, U. S. Code). One of the more important limitations is the doctrine of “fair use.” The doctrine of fair use has developed through a substantial number of court decisions over the years and has been codified in section 107 of the copyright law.

Section 107 contains a list of the various purposes for which the reproduction of a particular work may be considered fair, such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Section 107 also sets out four factors to be considered in determining whether or not a particular use is fair:

    1. The purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of commercial nature or is for NONPROFIT EDUCATIONAL purposes
    2. The nature of the copyrighted work
    3. The amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole
    4. The effect of the use upon the potential market for, or value of, the copyrighted work

The distinction between fair use and infringement may be unclear and not easily defined. There is no specific number of words, lines, or notes that may safely be taken without permission. Acknowledging the source of the copyrighted material does not substitute for obtaining permission.

The 1961 Report of the Register of Copyrights on the General Revision of the U.S. Copyright Law cites examples of activities that courts have regarded as fair use: “quotation of excerpts in a review or criticism for purposes of ILLUSTRATION or COMMENT; quotation of short passages in a scholarly or technical work, for illustration or clarification of the author’s observations; use in a parody of some of the content of the work parodied; summary of an address or article, with brief quotations, in a news report; reproduction by a library of a portion of a work to replace part of a damaged copy; reproduction by a teacher or student of a small part of a work to illustrate a lesson; reproduction of a work in legislative or judicial proceedings or reports; incidental and fortuitous reproduction, in a newsreel or broadcast, of a work located in the scene of an event being reported.”

Copyright protects the particular way authors have expressed themselves. It does not extend to any ideas, systems, or factual information conveyed in a work.

The safest course is always to get permission from the copyright owner before using copyrighted material. The Copyright Office cannot give this permission.

When it is impracticable to obtain permission, use of copyrighted material should be avoided unless the doctrine of fair use would clearly apply to the situation. The Copyright Office can neither determine if a certain use may be considered fair nor advise on possible copyright violations. If there is any doubt, it is advisable to consult an attorney.

Copyright Law of the United States of America and

Related Laws Contained in Title 17 of the United States Code

United States Code Title 17 § 107. Fair use

Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, IS NOT AN INFRINGEMENT OF COPYRIGHT.

In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include —

(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;

[ I have never charged, nor received, ONE PENNY ($0.01) from the WFFCW website - the purpose is to rebut and criticize, report, teach, and research truth ]

(2) the nature of the copyrighted work; [ repeated lies and defamation ]

(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and [ the more lies and defamation, the more criticism and rebuttal ]

(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work. [ there is no "potential market" or "value" associated with repeated lies and defamation ]

The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.

Below, I will very briefly illustrate UNITED STATES COPYRIGHT LAW.

Rambo's text is RED, my comments/rebuttal are BLUE:

(1) For everyone's personal safety ( and I'm not kidding here in the least )

(2) Gene currently has a fan named Steve Leigh, who is severely mentally ill

(3) - if you speak poorly of Gene in any way, Leigh will actually start an entire web page on you, including personal information and pictures of your house and kennel. This has recently happened to a Nationally ranked SchH competitor that occasionally posts here.

The above statements are allegedly "factual information", written publicly by Rambo.  Each statement is a defamatory, blatant lie.

USCO clearly states:

"Copyright protects the particular way authors have expressed themselves. It does not extend to any ideas, systems, or factual information conveyed in a work."

Most of the WFFCW is an accumulation of "ALLEGED FACTS" (which copyright law does NOT protect), and my own COMMENT and REBUTTAL to falsified statements about me.  (which copyright law does allow.)  READ THE USCO LAW - see for yourself.
